Summon is the College of Wooster's all-in-one library search option. It finds books, articles, and more using a Google-like interface. Helpful when exploring a topic, but it's harder to get focused results. Click here for more about Summon.
The OhioLINK library catalog lets you search for and request books from academic libraries from across the state of Ohio. If you can't find what you need in CONSORT, try looking here.
OCLC's WorldCat is a catalog of books held in libraries worldwide. You can request a book you find in WorldCat using interlibrary loan via ILLiad.
In your CONSORT search results, look for the "Request" button.
You will need to enter the name and barcode number on your C.O.W. ID to complete the request.
Requesting Books from OhioLINK
Either use the button on the CONSORT results screen or click here to access the OhioLINK catalog directly. When you find a book that can be requested, you will see a "Request" button similar to the one in CONSORT:
You will need to select College of Wooster as your institution, then enter the name and barcode number on your C.O.W. ID to complete the request.
Finding Books with WorldCat and Interlibrary Loan
If you can't find what you're looking for in CONSORT or OhioLINK, never fear. You can search for books from all over the world using WorldCat, then submit an interlibrary loan request to have them sent to the College of Wooster. First time ILLiad users will need to create an account (this process requires your C.O.W. ID number and campus mailbox number). If you have questions or need help using ILLiad, contact Lorna Flynn at firstname.lastname@example.org or campus phone number 2136.
Picking Up Your Books
Whenever you use any of these methods to request a book, you will receive an email confirmation when it arrives, and you will be able to pick it up at the circulation desk in the Gault Library for Independent Study.
