SEARCH STRATEGY

NARROW YOUR TOPIC

Key Words

•Use AND between key words to narrow your topics

Example:  Searching just ARCHAEOLOGY will bring up all entries that contain ARCHAEOLOGY.

Searching ARCHAEOLOGY and ETHICAL ASPECTS will bring up only those entries on ARCHAEOLOGY that deal with ETHICAL ASPECTS.

If you search , ARCHAEOLOGY and ETHICAL ASPECTS and MUSEUMS the results will bring up only those entries that deal with all three variables--ARCHAEOLOGY, ETHICAL ASPECTS, MUSEUMS.

•Also, you can use * to allow for all extensions of a Key Word.

Example: ETHIC* will bring up ETHIC, ETHICAL, ETHICS

Example: MUSEUM* will bring up MUSEUM, MUSEUM STUDIES, MUSEUMS
