SEARCH STRATEGY

NARROW YOUR TOPIC

Key Words

•Use AND between key words to narrow your topics

Example:  Searching just MAYA will bring up all entries that contain MAYA.

Searching MAYA and MYTHOLOGY will bring up only those entries on MAYA that deal with MYTHOLOGY.

If you search, MAYA and MYTHOLOGY and ART the results will bring up only those entries that deal with all three variables--MAYA, MYTHOLOGY, ART.

•Also, you can use * to allow for all extensions of a Key Word.

Example: MYTH* will bring up MYTH, MYTHOLOGY, MYTHS

Example: MUSEUM* will bring up MUSEUM, MUSEUM STUDIES, MUSEUMS

By FORMAT, LANGUAGE, LOCATION, DATE OF PUBLICATION
