U.S. Congressional Serial Set Finding List: Annual Reports, National Museum (SI 3.1:)

The National Museum (now known as the National Museum of American History) was established within the Smithsonian Institution in 1846. The annual report series officially began in 1881, but from 1881 to 1883 these reports were only published within the Annual Reports, Smithsonian Institution (SI 1.1:). With the 1884 edition, the annual reports continued to be published as part of the Smithsonian's annual report but as a separate volume within that series. For ease of access, this title is listed separately here as well as being included in the Smithsonian annual reports list. (Andriot 697, Checklist 992-993)
