U.S. Congressional Serial Set Finding List: Annual Reports, Foreign Commerce and Navigation (T 37.1:, C 14.1:, C 18.19:, C 3.159:)

In 1820, the Secretary of the Treasury was required by law to prepare annual statistical reports on commerce with foreign countries. These reports were compiled by the Register of the Treasury until 1866, when the Statistics Bureau was created. In 1903, the Statistics Bureau and the Foreign Commerce Bureau of the State Department were consolidated and moved to the Commerce and Labor Department. From there, this report jumped around from the Bureau of Statistics to the Bureau of Foreign and Domestic Commerce and then the Census Bureau:
