U.S. Congressional Serial Set Finding List: Bulletins, Hygienic Laboratory / National Institutes of Health (T 27.3:)

The Marine-Hospital Service first came into operation in 1798 and was reorganized in 1870. In 1902 it was renamed the Public Health and Marine-Hospital Service. The Hygienic Laboratory, created in 1887, was the laboratory for this agency, and the Bulletins series included the most important printed records of the laboratory's work. The first 35 bulletins were not published in the Congressional Serial Set. Around 1930, the series title changed to National Institutes of Health Bulletins, and in 1939, the agency itself was transferred to the Federal Security Agency.
