U.S. Congressional Serial Set Finding List: Reports of the Director of the Mint on the Production of Precious Metals (T 28.7:)

Although the U. S. Mint was established in 1792, it was not brought under the auspices of the Department of the Treasury until 1873, when it was renamed the Bureau of the Mint. This report series, beginning in 1880, had varying titles such as Statistics of Production of Precious Metals and simply Production of Precious Metals for the calendar year. In some years it appeared in the Serial Set bound together with the Annual Report of the Bureau of the Mint (T 28.1:). (Andriot 713, Checklist 1145)
