The Federal Board of Vocational Education was established by the Smith-Hughes Act in 1917 and handled matters concerning vocational education and rehabilitation. The Board was transferred to the Office of Education (I 16) within the Department of the Interior in 1933. The annual reports began publication in 1917. (Andriot 754)
